Call for solidarity – Germany finances, Erdogan bombs! – NOT WITH US!

Tuesday, 02.02.2021, the Turkish defense minister Hulusi Akar meets with the German defense minister Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer in Berlin. Turkey seeks international partnerships to get backing for its, as propagated in Turkey, next military offensive on Derik and the Shengal. Still long not healed, are the wounds the German Leopard 2 tanks in north-east Syria, the population living there inflicted. Also in 2021 Germany supports an obviously fascist state in word and deed.

We demand Germany to stop the dirty politics with Turkey. Whether inhuman “refugee deals”, the silencing in an obvious international law war of aggression in northeast Syria 2018/2019 or the actively disgusting support through weapons deliveries, which have claimed countless human victims in their missions in the Turkish wars in Nagorno-Karabakh??? and northeast Syria.

What can we do? Continue reading “Call for solidarity – Germany finances, Erdogan bombs! – NOT WITH US!”

Call for Demonstration in Dresden: Sea bridge – create safe ports!

We share the call for a demonstration by the Saxonian Refugee Council

** Sea Bridge– SOLIDARITY WITH MISSION LIFELINE **
* Sunday, July 29th // 2pm // Alaunplatz Dresden-Neustadt *

Join the demonstration for a safe Mediterranean by sea rescue! For a humane policy and against the dream of the fortress Europe. The dream of all those right wingers, who want to seal off Europe completely. We want to walk through Dresden on Sunday, July 29th, demonstrating our conviction with all distinctness, accompanied by fine beats.

Why this demonstration?

In the last four years, more than 16,000 people drowned in the Mediterranean by trying to reach Europe’s shores according to UN’s numbers. But instead of expanding sea rescue and supporting private NGOs, EU and national governments go for blockade and criminalization. Now, the rhetoric is followed by action: rescue ships are not allowed to leave the ports anymore. By applying juridical tricks and open racism, rescue ships are restricted to the ports, the supporters are doomed to watch helplessly. Parallely, dreadful news reach us almost every day, reporting of ever new ship accidents with many people dead in the Mediterranean.

We cannot keep watching at these inhumane events for just one more day!

Make Rojava Green Again: Support the ecological revolution in Northern Syria

Our friends from the Internationalist Commune of Rojava asked us to support and publish their campaign “Make Rojava Green Again”. Hereby we do so and hope for positive feedback and huge support. At the very end of the text you find brochures in several languages.

Introduction

Five years have passed since the beginning of the Rojava Revolution. Beginning with the heroic resistance of Kobani, the YPG/YPJ have pushed the reactionary gangs of ISIS back again and again. At the same time, the people of Rojava have successfully resisted all hegemonical attempts to corrupt the revolution. Inspired and shaped by the ideas of Abdullah Öcalan and the struggle of the Kurdish freedom movement, Rojava is a revolutionary project with the aim of challenging capitalist modernity through women’s liberation, ecology, and radical democracy. Despite the ongoing success of the Rojava Revolution, the people remain under pressure; the war against ISIS, the daily terror attacks by the Turkish state and the economic embargo, are obstacles for building up a new society. In this situation, Rojava needs worldwide support more than ever.

The conference is organized by a group of around thirty people including activists from afrique-europe-interact, corasol, glokal e.V., Konzeptwerk Neue Ökonomie and others. As a group, we decide by consensus, using methods of grass roots democracy.

| 6.-8. October 2017 | Leipzig

| A conference with up to 300 people coming from different activist contexts – freedom of movement, anti-racisms, agriculture, degrowth, climate justice

| With talks, workshops, theatre, concerts, networking possibilities and several formats for exchange

What is the connection between the debate around a just design of migration and the one around an ecologically and socially just economy?

What are the connections between alternative concepts such as „Degrowth“ or „Post-Development“ and a postcolonial perspective on causes of flight?

This conference wants to focus on the links between flight, migration, self-determined development and ecological crises. We want to connect these seemingly independent topics within a broader context in order to build bridges between the different political struggles and movements.

The empty promise of “integration” Work and employment opportunities for asylum (Arbeitsgelegenheiten Asyl (AGH-Asyl))

Prior to the conference „Do it yourself – Concepts of grassroots organization, community organizing and autonomy“, the Internationalist Centre Dresden analyzises the new „job opportunities for asylum“ (80 cents jobs for refugees) and comes to the conclusion, that there is a necessity of a mutual organization of refugees and unemployed, to escape the exclusion of society resulted by the work fetishism.

„A twenty-first-century left must seek to combat the centrality of work to contemporary life. In the end, our choice is between glorifying work and the working class or abolishing them both. […] Yet the latter is the only true postcapitalist position.“

(Nick Srnicek and Alex Williams, extracts from Inventing the Future: Postcapitalism and a World Without Work)

Recent protests and repressions in Belarus

An event by ABC Dresden

February and March have marked one of the most active protest period in the recent history of Belarus. Thousands of people were protesting not only against the infamous unemployment tax but against dictatorship of Lukashenko. People in the cities all around Belarus have organized their local gatherings and planning further steps in their struggle. Anarchists played an important role in those protests in several places. Reaction from the state followed – hundreds of people arrested and sentenced to short term arrests of 10-15 days, several are now prosecuted for planning riots.

Stop deportations. To Afghanistan or elsewehre!

antiabschiebedemo_17-12

In recent years, a great number of people from insecure countries have sought asylum in Germany. However, the German government decided, in dubious cooperation with these countries, to send many of asylum seekers back. It won’t matter whether you have fled Afghanistan, Morocco, Syria, Tunisia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Iraq or any other oppressing government. The German government has always tried to show that most of those countries are safe and secure places. In these countries, thousands of people are killed and lots of incidents of human rights violation take place on a daily basis. We left our insecure countries just to find a safer place on Earth to live. Your humanitarian support could be a guarantee for us to have a peaceful life, therefore we ask you to take to the streets, together with us. Against a deportation policy of violence. For a joint living in safety and freedom.

Invitation to meeting against deportations part 2

16.6 // 19 Uhr // AZ Conni // Rudolf-Leonhard Straße 39

During the last couple of weeks we have started the fight against the deportions of the refugees from Fritz Reuter Strasse 21. After our last meeting we made a citywalk and thought about further actions. You can read about what we did until now at our homepage iz-dresden.org

But the fight continues! One of the ideas that we have is to make an ongoing rally in front of the accomodation. We would like to discuss inputs to how we realize this, and any further ideas you may have. Hence we would ask all of you, to think about if you are ble to participate and take shifts during the on going rally, and any other suggestion you may have, to the fight against deportation.

We are looking forward to see a lot and hear all of your ideas.

No to deportations in our neighborhoods! All stay!

Invitation for an assembly against deportations.
12th of May / 8 p.m. / AZ Conni / Rudolf Leonhard Strasse 39

After a meeting on Tuesday with several people from Morocco that are in danger of getting deported, we would like to invite you for an open assembly. The affected people live in the Heim Fritz Reuter Straße 21 in the Dresden neighborhood of so called Hechtviertel. They want to get organized with us and resist politically. We agreed on three proposals for actions, we just shortly mention:

1) Telephone chain in case of emergency
2) Constant rally / picket in front of the Heim
3) Demonstration followed by a press conference

At the meeting we’ll tell you details about the planed actions and discuss it together. At the moment people of the Heim talking about the different proposals. It could be that point 2 wouldn’t be realized. Nevertheless we would like to ask you or your groups to think about, if you could manage to take over a shift at such a picket against deportation.
