This year the Internationalism Festival N°2 will take place! From June 02 – 06, 2021 we will organize the second Internationalism Festival on the grounds of the Zentralwerk (Riesaer Str. 32, Dresden Pieschen). We want to celebrate internationalism and the struggling people of this world and bring the global revolts to our doorstep.
From Wednesday to Sunday we will bring together feminist struggles of the past, present and future – near and far – through a cultural and political program. In various event formats such as theater, readings, panels, lectures and workshops, we will explore, among other things, the history of women in resistance to National Socialism, feminist struggles against racism, the history of the local queer movement or the women’s revolution in Rojava. There is also a lot of space for networking, our goal is an exchange between new and old, here and there.
We look to history to learn for the present and fight together for a better and feminist future. In doing so, we connect our local struggles to the world!
