Convoy to No Border Camp

autocadeConvoy of Solidarity from Frankfurt/Main [Germany] via Italy to

Thessaloniki [Greece]

Fortress Europe starts here. We already want to politicise the journey to the No Border-Camp in Thessaloniki and therefore we will organise a convoy from Frankfurt am Main, Germany via Milano and Ancona, Italy to Thessaloniki. Together with Italian groups and collectives we are planning different antiracist actions and stops in Italy. We then take the ferry from Ancona to Igoumenitsa, Greece.

Dear friends, dear comrades,

There are just a few weeks left and that is why we want to invite everybody who is interested to join us on Wednesday, June 29 at 8 PM at AZ Conni. At this meeting together we can discuss the journey to Greece, the program and different open tasks.

We’re looking forward to see ya!

Invitation to meeting against deportations part 2

16.6 // 19 Uhr // AZ Conni // Rudolf-Leonhard Straße 39

During the last couple of weeks we have started the fight against the deportions of the refugees from Fritz Reuter Strasse 21. After our last meeting we made a citywalk and thought about further actions. You can read about what we did until now at our homepage iz-dresden.org

But the fight continues! One of the ideas that we have is to make an ongoing rally in front of the accomodation. We would like to discuss inputs to how we realize this, and any further ideas you may have. Hence we would ask all of you, to think about if you are ble to participate and take shifts during the on going rally, and any other suggestion you may have, to the fight against deportation.

We are looking forward to see a lot and hear all of your ideas.

No to deportations in our neighborhoods! All stay!

Invitation for an assembly against deportations.
12th of May / 8 p.m. / AZ Conni / Rudolf Leonhard Strasse 39

After a meeting on Tuesday with several people from Morocco that are in danger of getting deported, we would like to invite you for an open assembly. The affected people live in the Heim Fritz Reuter Straße 21 in the Dresden neighborhood of so called Hechtviertel. They want to get organized with us and resist politically. We agreed on three proposals for actions, we just shortly mention:

1) Telephone chain in case of emergency
2) Constant rally / picket in front of the Heim
3) Demonstration followed by a press conference

At the meeting we’ll tell you details about the planed actions and discuss it together. At the moment people of the Heim talking about the different proposals. It could be that point 2 wouldn’t be realized. Nevertheless we would like to ask you or your groups to think about, if you could manage to take over a shift at such a picket against deportation.

Call Out for the No Border Camp in July 2016 in Thessaloniki

Beyond Borders – make fortress Europe history.

Call for the Camp by Beyond Europe

In May, two comrades from the antiauthoritarian platform Alpha Kappa (Αντιεξουσιαστική κίνηση, Antieksousiastiki Kinisi, antiauthoritarian movement) are on a tour to inform about the camp and call for action. Alpha Kappa is part of the Beyond Europe network and of the local camp assembly in Thessaloniki. We want to inform you about the ideas of the Camp and the Beyond Europe Barrio and discuss it with you. Furthermore we will show a short film about the Beyond Europe Camp and the actions that took place in 2015.

The famous narrative of Europe sounded like a fairy tale and a happily-ever-after: peace after two World Wars, “understanding between peoples” and “prosperity for everyone”. In 2016 this myth has once again proven to be a farce. The divide between the rich and the poor continues to grow in this systematic crisis ofcapitalism. To speak of “democracy” is nothing but cynical and European integration is nothing more than a bad joke. Across almost all regions reactionary forces are gaining strength, borders and walls are once again being built up and become increasingly militarized.

Especially at the external borders more and more people from all over the world are hindered from continuing their flight. We all have seen it. The “Balcan route” is blocked. Borders are closed. The suffering in the refugee’s home countries also stems from the aggressive politics of European states and produce apocalyptic images from “inside” and “outside”. The situation in Eidomeni and on the Greek islands is alarming. This catastrophe is man-made and comes as no surprise. While we live in prosperity, tens of thousands of people are forced to wait in the rain and mud. This treatment of refugees is without any doubt inhumane, other words would not do this situation justice. Last summer Greece was made to choose between bankruptcy and continuing with the austerity measures imposed by the EU which caused poverty and desperation for hundreds of thousands. Now, Greece has become Europe’s bouncer, cooperating with the autocratic Turkish regime.

But there are also many people, who actively fight against this policyof marginalization and exclusion in this capitalist Europe. From the 15th to the 24th of July a No Border Camp will take place in Greece. On the campus of the University of Thessaloniki we want to create a space to discuss, exchange ideas, network and carry out actions.

Decleration for the solidarity party on 19th of March at Az Conni and a call for donations

We are sending our warmest regards to our friends and comrades of the Orfanotrofion squat, the Micoropolis social center and everyone who is fighting activly for the right for freedom of movement and for a life in dignity. You never walk alone!

All of us seen it. The “Balkan route” is blocked. The borders are closed. It’s a dramatic situation in Eidomeni. It’s a man-made catastrophe that was predictably. While we revel in wealth here, tens of thousands of humans are forced to wait in rain and mud. The treatement of refugees is inhumane – no doubts about this – and other words would be an understatement. But there are people that are solid against the racist policies of shielding and exclusion in a Europe of capital. With our solidarity party we would like to support collective projects that are working activly to overcome the Fortress Europe.

Events about the delegation trip to Greece

Dresden Internationalist Center’s Events

IMG_2396.cleaned-e1452476503787-1000x288There is again lots of talk about Greece: As an EU external border Greece confronts fleeing people in a direct way with the “fortress Europe”. The country is a neoliberal experimental laboratory for European and German saving doctrine that deprives many people’s social and financial security. When we want to develop shared strategies against bulkheading and authoritarian austerity policy, we have to try to understand the surroundings of political work in Greece.
