Call for solidarity – Germany finances, Erdogan bombs! – NOT WITH US!

Tuesday, 02.02.2021, the Turkish defense minister Hulusi Akar meets with the German defense minister Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer in Berlin. Turkey seeks international partnerships to get backing for its, as propagated in Turkey, next military offensive on Derik and the Shengal. Still long not healed, are the wounds the German Leopard 2 tanks in north-east Syria, the population living there inflicted. Also in 2021 Germany supports an obviously fascist state in word and deed.

We demand Germany to stop the dirty politics with Turkey. Whether inhuman “refugee deals”, the silencing in an obvious international law war of aggression in northeast Syria 2018/2019 or the actively disgusting support through weapons deliveries, which have claimed countless human victims in their missions in the Turkish wars in Nagorno-Karabakh??? and northeast Syria.

What can we do? Continue reading “Call for solidarity – Germany finances, Erdogan bombs! – NOT WITH US!”

100 reasons to prosecute the dictator

100 reasons to prosecute the dictator

From the recent history of humanity, we know that nothing has lead to more catastrophe in human history than dictatorial regimes. As we know from the Armenian Genocide, from Holocaust, from the settler colonial genocides against indigenous peoples in the Americas, as well as from the many massacres in places like Middle East, including Kurdistan, humanity has had to cope with all sorts of genocides, especially in the past two centuries. This fire was set by Europe. End Moria now. Fight Fortress Europe.

A contribution from Beyond Europe which we would like to share with you…

A Beyond Europe call to keep up the pressure and fight for solidarity.

After the fire that destroyed the misery camp of Moria, those who have nothing are not only left in the ashes of the monster of European foreign policy, but are now also being trampled on.

The refugees who did not manage to flee from the camp and escape to the city were not provided with blankets, tents and water, but with tear gas and the sticks of the Greek police. The cops tried with all their might not to let the refugees leave the camp, while what little they left behind remains was burned the next night. Trapped on the island’s streets around the camp, they were surrounded by riot police, left alone, without sufficient food, water and medical care. Helpers, NGOs and journalists were largely kept away, leaving the people defenceless against the heat of the day, the cold of the night, the arbitrariness and violence of the police and the attacks of local fascists. Justice for George Floyd – fight the racist state, its cops and white supremacy!

After a white cop in Minneapolis, Minnesota suffocated the Afro-American George Floyd under the eyes of three of his colleagues, half the country is on fire. It was not the first racist murder by the US police, it was not even the first one this year and not the last since. It was just one too many.

The night after George’s murder, protests broke out in all kinds of cities across the United States and quickly increased. The protests were organized from within black communities in big US cities and quickly met with a huge wave of solidarity. After Trump had feigned sympathy and demanded an investigation into the murder, the mask has now fallen: Swinging his Bible, the autocrat declares the protests to be terror, against which he now wants to bring in the military, after the National Guard has already been mobilized in most states. Following the motto “when the looting starts, the shooting starts”, Trump wants to put a stop to the social uprisings. In the same breath, he wants to blame antifa directly for the protests, whom he has long since known to be communist and anarchist agitators. Fair enough! But while the truncheon orgies continue on the streets of America, Trump leads a campaign against those who stand in the way of the unchained state power.

The authoritarian Republican bloc in the US has long since mobilized all its media power to shift the discourse: Instead of racist cops and structural violence, FOX News discusses looting and terrorism. In trying to divide the protest into peaceful and violent, the Liberals, as so often, willingly let themselves be pulled in front of the Republicans’ trolley and toot the same horn: While armed sections of the Ku Klux Klan have opened the hunt under the eyes of the police, the Liberals on both sides of the Atlantic emphasize how important it is to remain non-violent. As if this is an option against police state and gangs of nazi thugs!

Trump had already made it clear in his presidential election campaign that he would not only stand for complete neo-liberal unleashing, but would also be prepared to use the strong state to beat this order into existence with all necessary force. The social distortions in a country where half the population considers health insurance to be Stalinist cannot be ignored. The COVID crisis has only exacerbated these differences: More than 20 million people lost their jobs and the foodbank queues stretch for miles. While it is the role of the state to ensure the normal accumulation of capital in times of peace and crisis, particularly exceptional situations such as this one show the other side of the coin: where integration fails, terror must be unleashed!

Meanwhile in Germany a whole sea of crocodile tears is being shed. From the conservative paper FAZ to the left-liberal Taz, from Christian Democrats to the Left party everyone agrees that one cannot handle justified anger in this way. Forgotten are the beatings of the G20 summit, the state’s involvement in Nazi networks, forgotten the evictions, deportations, deaths in police custody, etc… We write this declaration in solidarity one day after the 53rd anniversary of the murder of the student Benno Ohnesorg by the bullet of a German policeman.

It is not new that for the state no means are too drastic in the fight against insurrections to secure its monopoly on the use of violence. We send greetings of solidarity to our comrades and friends on the streets of American cities, who are showing practical solidarity against the state’s power!

From Germany & Austria to Minneapolis: Fight the Police! Solidarity beyond borders! Black lives matter! Abolish the system from below!

World Resistance Day for Rojava – 2nd of November

Joint train journey to the demonstrations in Berlin
Meeting 8:30 train station Neustädter Bahnhof

Today we call for this year’s November 2 to be a day of global resistance against the Turkish war of aggression, to break the normal state of affairs and cripple life. Participate with creative and diverse actions of civil disobedience and come with us on the street!

The revolution in Northeast Syria will prevail, fascism will be smashed!

At 4pm on October 9th, the Turkish occupation army and its Islamist allies began their long-prepared war of aggression against the liberated areas of northern Syria.

At four o’clock sharp in the afternoon, bombs rained down on people in towns and villages on the border. Jihadist militias began their advance under the leadership of the Turkish army and tried to penetrate into the border area. Turkey is talking about a “military operation” aimed at “securing the border” and establishing a so-called “peace corridor”, but the fact is that the Turkish army and the Islamist mercenaries under its command are concerned with nothing less than the occupation of the mostly Kurdish populated entire area along the Turkish-Syrian border. The regime in Ankara speaks of the “fight against terrorism” and emphasizes that their war of aggression is not about the war on the civilian population, but indiscriminate bombing of civilian settlements, looting and mass deportations of hundreds of thousands of people, arbitrary executions and the brutal abduction of hundreds of civilians speak a different language. The further the war against northern Syria progresses, the more it becomes clear, what Erdogan is really about, namely ethnic cleansing through the violent expulsion of millions of people and the long-term demographic change of the entire region.

Statement and call to action by the Internationalist Commune of Rojava

To all democratic forces: Defend the Democratic Federation of North-Eastern Syria! Statement and call to action by the Internationalist Commune of Rojava.

To all democratic forces: Defend the Democratic Federation of North-Eastern Syria!

Less than a year after the start of the criminal war of aggression against the canton Afrin, the people of North-Eastern Syria are again confronted with an aggression by the fascist state of Turkey and its Islamist allies. The threats of the Turkish dictator Recep Tayyip Erdogan are no empty words, are not just election campaign propaganda and no mere provocations. With the assaults on the refugee camp Maxmur and several villages in Schengal on the 13th of December he has made this clear again. In fact they are the latest expression of the neo-ottoman expansionist aspirations of the AKP-MHP regime, and the open announcement of a murderous war of extermination against the revolution in North-Eastern Syria and in the entire Middle East.

Dresden: next women*strike meeting

On 1st of December more than 40 people met in Dresden for the local founding meeting for a feminist strike movement in Dresden on March 8, 2019 and beyond. Many ideas for content, demands, forms of action and structures of this movement have arisen, to which we would like to tie up at the next meeting.

We therefore invite all feminist and interested individuals and groups to the next meeting.

When? 12.12.18 at 18:00-20:00
Where? Evangelische Hochschule (EHS), Dürerstraße 25, Dresden, Room 215

Anyone who was unable to attend the last meeting is welcome to come at 17:30 to be updated. For small snacks for donation is taken care of.

We are in the process of putting together the program for the meeting. Here is a small overview:

  • Final discussion on options for the organizational form
  • Naming
  • Formation of possible working groups
  • exchange about ideas

In order to facilitate the formation of working groups, we would like to schedule a period in which people who already have a (more or less) concrete idea can present it briefly (5 minutes). That could look like this:

I am / we are and that’s what I/we need! (Persons, material, etc.)

Please let us know until Sunday evening, if you would like to present an idea, so that we can plan something better. We also look forward to further topics for the meeting or ideas for the working groups.

With feminist greetings and the request for forwarding to those who are interested!

Call for Demonstration in Dresden: Sea bridge – create safe ports!

We share the call for a demonstration by the Saxonian Refugee Council

** Sea Bridge– SOLIDARITY WITH MISSION LIFELINE **
* Sunday, July 29th // 2pm // Alaunplatz Dresden-Neustadt *

Join the demonstration for a safe Mediterranean by sea rescue! For a humane policy and against the dream of the fortress Europe. The dream of all those right wingers, who want to seal off Europe completely. We want to walk through Dresden on Sunday, July 29th, demonstrating our conviction with all distinctness, accompanied by fine beats.

Why this demonstration?

In the last four years, more than 16,000 people drowned in the Mediterranean by trying to reach Europe’s shores according to UN’s numbers. But instead of expanding sea rescue and supporting private NGOs, EU and national governments go for blockade and criminalization. Now, the rhetoric is followed by action: rescue ships are not allowed to leave the ports anymore. By applying juridical tricks and open racism, rescue ships are restricted to the ports, the supporters are doomed to watch helplessly. Parallely, dreadful news reach us almost every day, reporting of ever new ship accidents with many people dead in the Mediterranean.

We cannot keep watching at these inhumane events for just one more day!

Make Rojava Green Again: Support the ecological revolution in Northern Syria

Our friends from the Internationalist Commune of Rojava asked us to support and publish their campaign “Make Rojava Green Again”. Hereby we do so and hope for positive feedback and huge support. At the very end of the text you find brochures in several languages.

Introduction

Five years have passed since the beginning of the Rojava Revolution. Beginning with the heroic resistance of Kobani, the YPG/YPJ have pushed the reactionary gangs of ISIS back again and again. At the same time, the people of Rojava have successfully resisted all hegemonical attempts to corrupt the revolution. Inspired and shaped by the ideas of Abdullah Öcalan and the struggle of the Kurdish freedom movement, Rojava is a revolutionary project with the aim of challenging capitalist modernity through women’s liberation, ecology, and radical democracy. Despite the ongoing success of the Rojava Revolution, the people remain under pressure; the war against ISIS, the daily terror attacks by the Turkish state and the economic embargo, are obstacles for building up a new society. In this situation, Rojava needs worldwide support more than ever.
