Call 18.07.2021 – Day of the Revolution! Demo in Dresden

Demonstration | 18 July | 1 PM Altmarkt | Revolutionary Festival of Possibilities| 3 PM Alaunplatz

Call to demonstration on the day of the revolution in Rojava: United in the struggle for liberation – defend the revolution and disarm the FRD!

At the anniversary of the social revolution in the Democratic Federation of North-East Syria/Rojava, we call everyone to take to the streets together! On 18.07.2021 we will demonstrate united in the struggle for liberation, in defense of the democratic, feminist and ecological revolution in the Middle East and worldwide! We protest against the war of the fascist Turkish government, of Erdoğan and its support by the government of the Federal Republic of Germany. This threatens not only Rojava. The south of Kurdistan is also being attacked by Erdoğan and his German supporters. These attacks are not only directed against our Kurdish friends, but against the idea of a better world and thus ultimately against all of us. Let us therefore show our global solidarity with all liberation movements and struggles for the good life for all! Continue reading “Call 18.07.2021 – Day of the Revolution! Demo in Dresden”

Program Internationalism Festival°2

Finally the time has come! Here you can find most of the program of the second Internationalism Festival! It will be updated and completed in the next weeks! To give you an idea of what you can look forward to, here are already the fixed events!

Some things we want to say in advance:

First, we are very sorry that we have to hold the festival online. You can find the exact details here. Due to the uncertain Corona situation we had to make this decision during the planning process. Even though it might be possible to meet again with restrictions at the beginning of June and the weather is tempting us outside, we hope for your numerous participation! Get together, watch the events together (if this should be possible again), take the computer out into the countryside…there are many ways to make online formats more enjoyable for you!

Because of the online format, many networking and sharing opportunities are eliminated. We have decided to include many lectures and workshops in the program and to move pure networking and sharing formats to the summer. We hope for your participation and ideas on how we can make this happen together!

We have a very colorful program, yet many perspectives are missing. So we are looking forward to your ideas and future plans, understand the festival as an invitation and call to think further and to network. Continue reading “Program Internationalism Festival°2”

Update: Online Festival! – But how?

The Internationalist Center is located in the building complex of the housing and cultural cooperative Zentralwerk. We actually wanted to hold the festival on this site. Due to the uncertain Corona situation, we had to make the decision to hold the festival online. Therefore we invite you to experience the Festival°2 with us in the online world of the Zentralwerk. For this we will use WorkAdventure together with you.

In addition to the various educational offerings, our festival should be a place to meet new people, to network, to simply get into conversation. But how is that supposed to work when everyone is at home behind their laptops, computers and smartphones and you can’t spontaneously meet at the bar or strike up a conversation in the exhibition?
For lectures, panels or workshops, we have all used many media in recent months, but getting to know each other usually came up short. That’s why we are organizing the Internationalism Festival°2 with WorkAdventure. Continue reading “Update: Online Festival! – But how?”

Anarchist May Day in Dresden

1st May | 2 pm | Artesischer Brunnen Albertplatz

We gladly share the call of the AND (Anarchist Network Dresden) for May 1st and see you on the street!

May 1st is historically an important day of the workers‘ movement. 150 years ago people gave their lives to fight for an 8-hour day. Today many people can’t do much with this day. They work isolated and „flexible“ in precarious jobs, they exploit themselves or are exploited.

The past year has shown us once again that capitalism is an unjust system. The Corona pandemic has further exacerbated this injustice. The crisis makes many people poor. Especially people who have worked in precarious jobs before. People who have become unemployed and can no longer finance their living. People who have no official employment contracts and are exposed to arbitrariness. Continue reading “Anarchist May Day in Dresden “

100 reasons to prosecute the dictator

With this campaign, we want Feminicide to be internationally recognized as a crime against humanity.

Add your signature to our demands.

No passage to feminicide.

100 reasons to prosecute the dictator

From the recent history of humanity, we know that nothing has lead to more catastrophe in human history than dictatorial regimes. As we know from the Armenian Genocide, from Holocaust, from the settler colonial genocides against indigenous peoples in the Americas, as well as from the many massacres in places like Middle East, including Kurdistan, humanity has had to cope with all sorts of genocides, especially in the past two centuries. Dresden: next women*strike meeting

On 1st of December more than 40 people met in Dresden for the local founding meeting for a feminist strike movement in Dresden on March 8, 2019 and beyond. Many ideas for content, demands, forms of action and structures of this movement have arisen, to which we would like to tie up at the next meeting.

We therefore invite all feminist and interested individuals and groups to the next meeting.

When? 12.12.18 at 18:00-20:00
Where? Evangelische Hochschule (EHS), Dürerstraße 25, Dresden, Room 215

Anyone who was unable to attend the last meeting is welcome to come at 17:30 to be updated. For small snacks for donation is taken care of.

We are in the process of putting together the program for the meeting. Here is a small overview:

  • Final discussion on options for the organizational form
  • Naming
  • Formation of possible working groups
  • exchange about ideas

In order to facilitate the formation of working groups, we would like to schedule a period in which people who already have a (more or less) concrete idea can present it briefly (5 minutes). That could look like this:

I am / we are and that’s what I/we need! (Persons, material, etc.)

Please let us know until Sunday evening, if you would like to present an idea, so that we can plan something better. We also look forward to further topics for the meeting or ideas for the working groups.

With feminist greetings and the request for forwarding to those who are interested!
